What phone numbers should you have stored in your mobile phone?

Your mobile phone has the ability to store an awful lot of phone numbers. Here's a list of some we think are essential. You might want to spend a half an hour making sure you've got these basic phone numbers

1. Your home phone number - in case you lose your mobile, the person who finds it might want to find out who's it is quickly.

2. Your credit card lost/stolen reporting number

3. Your doctors number

4. Your dentist number (or the number of the emergency dental treatment service in your area)

5. The number of your car recovery service. This is handy because most cover you even if you're a passenger in someone elses car!

6. The local non emergency police number - the one you ring when it's not a dire emergency.

7. Taxi phone numbers. One for near where you live and ones for when you're at work or out on the town.

8. Garage number

9. Solicitor phone number if you have a firm you use

10. Phone number of work colleagues who live near you (In case you ever need a lift to work!)

11. Locksmith service - look one up in the yellow pages and then if you ever need one you'll have the number to hand.

12. ICE number - mark the number of your next of kin with ICE (or put it in with a separate name as ICE)

13. Car insurance phone number

14. House insurance phone number

15. Next door neighbours numbers

16. Phone number of the person who has your spare key!

17. Train time and booking numbers if you use the trains.

18. Chemist phone number -

19. Optician phone number

20. Local cinema phone number
